In some cases, a patio pet door can be installed in a window, but this depends on the type of patio pet door and whether the window opening is compatible.
Mesh Patio Pet Door
The Mesh Patio Pet Door is the only patio pet door in our range that can be reduced to suit smaller window-style openings, provided the dimensions fit and the window has a suitable track.
Adjustable to fit openings 1400–2140 mm (55.1–84.3") in height by default
Can be used in windows where the pet door can be installed upright and secured into the window’s edge track
The window must be able to close firmly against the pet door frame to hold it in place
Glass Patio Pet Door
The Glass Patio Pet Door is not suitable for window installations.
It is designed specifically for full-height sliding door openings and cannot be reduced to a smaller window height.
Important Notes
Patio pet doors must be installed vertically and cannot be installed horizontally in windows.
Not all window styles are compatible - fixed, awning, or casement windows generally will not work.
