Can I install a Patio Pet Door into Double Sliding or Bi-Fold Doors?

We do not recommend installing the Hakuna Pets Patio Pet Door in a double sliding door setup. This means any doors that meet in the middle to close.

The product is specifically designed for use with a single sliding door, where it can be securely held in place using the door’s vertical edge track. In a double sliding setup—where both doors meet in the middle—this track is missing, which means the pet door cannot be properly supported.

Installing it in this way can lead to an unstable fit, gaps, and reduced performance. For safety and proper functionality, we strongly recommend only installing the pet door in a single sliding door configuration.

Hakuna Pets Patio Pet Doors are also not suitable for Bi-fold Doors.
