If you need extra height for your Mesh Patio Pet Door or want to increase the flap height for larger pets, you can easily install both top height extensions and bottom extensions.

Note: Full installation guides and support materials can also be found on the product listing page under the Installation tab. A step-by-step installation video will also be linked there for your convenience.

Installing Top Height Extensions

Top extensions add 350mm / 14" to your Mesh Patio Pet Door, perfect for fitting taller sliding doors. You can install up to two extensions (max height 284cm / 112”).

  1. Lay the Mesh Sliding Pet Door flat on the ground with the locking latches facing up.

  2. Loosen the two screws at the top of the pet door frame (do not remove them completely).

  3. Align the height extension with the top track of the pet door and slide into place.

  4. Locate the bolt holes on the extension and secure with the provided screws.

  5. Re-tighten the two screws at the top of the pet door to lock the extension firmly in place.

Installing Bottom Extensions

Bottom extensions are used to raise the flap height, making the door more comfortable for larger pets.

  1. Position the extension at the bottom of the Mesh Patio Pet Door.

  2. Slide the extension piece securely into place.

  3. Use the two screw points to fasten the extension to the door.

That’s it - your pet door is now extended and ready for use!

With these simple steps, you can quickly adapt your Mesh Patio Pet Door (2025 Version 2) to fit taller doors and bigger pets.
