Short Answer
Yes. Small holes or tears can often be repaired using insect screen repair patches, while heavily damaged mesh can be replaced using standard insect screen material available from most hardware stores.
Repairing Small Holes or Tears
For minor damage, adhesive or heat-seal insect screen repair patches are often the quickest solution.
These patches are widely available from hardware stores and can help extend the life of the mesh without replacing the entire panel.
Replacing the Mesh
The Mesh Patio Pet Door uses a screen retention system similar to a standard window screen.
If the mesh is significantly damaged, the existing mesh can be removed and replaced using replacement insect screen and spline.
Replacement insect screen is available from most hardware stores.
Important
We do not currently offer replacement mesh as a spare part.
When purchasing replacement mesh, choose a material that is similar in strength and durability to the original fibreglass mesh.
If you're unsure whether your mesh can be repaired or should be replaced, feel free to contact our support team with a photo and we'll be happy to help.
