Extension Height Guide for Mesh Patio Pet Door

We currently offer two versions of the Mesh Patio Pet Door:

• Version 1 (V1) — Available from 2021 to June 2025

• Version 2 (V2) — Released from June 2025 onwards

Each version includes key updates to installation and design features, so it's important to identify which one you have before purchasing accessories or replacement parts.

Mesh Patio Pet Door (Version 2 from June 2025)

The Mesh and Riser Extensions are a new addition to our Mesh Patio Pet Door Version 2. They’re designed to make the product more versatile and suitable for customers with taller door frames or larger pets.

AUS - Mesh Patio Pet Door (2025) - Height Extensions

Below is a quick reference infographic guide that shows the maximum extension combinations and the corresponding door heights they can achieve.

The maximum height our Mesh Patio Pet Door V2 can reach is 2840mm without adding a bottom riser.

Our Mesh Extensions add 350mm  / 13.78". You cannot stack more than two top Mesh extensions, as doing so could compromise the product's stability.

Metal Risers will raise the step-over height for your pet and also extend the overall height of the Mesh Patio Pet Door. Step-Over Risers add 75mm / 2.95" H per extension.

Mesh Patio Pet Door (Version 1, Sold from 2021 until June 2025)

You can use up to three Metal Extension panels with our V1 Mesh Patio Pet Door: two at the top and one below the flap. Each Metal Extension for our Version 1 Mesh Patio Pet Door adds 130mm / 5.12".

Keep in mind that attaching an extension at the bottom will raise the step-over height and function as a riser.
