Top Extension Not Sliding In?
The Top Extension is manufactured with a tight fit to minimise movement once installed.
If it doesn't slide in easily:
- Check the extension is correctly aligned with the frame.
- Make sure the top screws have been loosened sufficiently.
- Start both sides evenly.
- Slide the extension in gradually while keeping it square.
Do not force the extension if it feels misaligned.
Installing Bottom Risers
Bottom Risers raise the flap position for taller pets.
Steps
- Position the Bottom Riser beneath the Mesh Patio Pet Door.
- Align the channels with the bottom of the frame.
- Slide the Bottom Riser fully into position.
- Secure using the supplied screws.
- Repeat if installing a second Bottom Riser.
Before Installing Your Pet Door
After installing extensions:
- Confirm all screws are fully tightened.
- Check the frame slides smoothly.
- Verify the final overall height suits your sliding door opening before installation.
Important Considerations
- Up to 2 Top Extensions can be installed.
- Up to 2 Bottom Risers can be installed.
- Bottom Risers are designed to raise the flap position for taller pets.
- Bottom Risers also increase the overall installed height of the Mesh Patio Pet Door by 75 mm (3") each.
