Can I install the Glass Patio Pet Door without drilling?

Yes - the Glass Patio Pet Door can be installed without drilling. This is called a temporary install and is ideal if:

  • You are renting or cannot modify your sliding door

  • You need to remove the pet door frequently

  • Your sliding door is most secure without the Patio Pet Door installed permanently

How Temporary Installation Works

  1. Test Fit First
Place the Patio Pet Door into your sliding door track to ensure it fits your door height.

  2. Locking Without Drilling
Use a Bar Lock (sold separately) to secure the sliding door to the Patio Pet Door without screws.

  3. Sealing Gaps
Apply the supplied foam weather seal and rubber air gap seal to help reduce drafts and movement.

Important Notes

  • A temporary install is not as secure as a drilled installation.

  • The top section is spring-loaded - take care when positioning the door.

  • For long-term use, a secure installation with drilling is recommended.
