Pet Ramp - General - The Ramp Is Not Grippy Enough

Modified on Mon, 9 Jun at 11:13 AM

The Deluxe Aluminium Pet Ramp features a raised rubber texture designed to create a non-slip surface and provide secure footing for your pet. However, if you find the grip isn't quite enough for your pet’s needs, here are some helpful ways to improve traction:

1. Apply Non-Slip Rubber Treads or Grip Tape

Adhesive rubber treads or grip tape are easy to apply and provide extra traction on slippery surfaces.

  • Clean and dry the ramp surface before application to ensure proper adhesion.

  • Choose products designed for outdoor use for better durability.

2. Cover the Ramp with Outdoor Carpet or Matting

You can attach marine-grade outdoor carpet or rubber matting to the ramp to enhance grip and comfort.

  • These materials are weather-resistant and suitable for pets.

  • They offer a softer, paw-friendly surface.

Note: Whatever method you choose, ensure materials are securely fastened to avoid slipping or creating tripping hazards. Regularly inspect and maintain any added grip enhancements to ensure continued safety and effectiveness.
