How to Measure Your Opening

1. Measure the widest part of the opening where you’ll install the gate — inside edge to inside edge.

2. Take multiple measurements at different points along the wall or doorframe. This helps account for any unevenness.

3. Check for baseboards or skirting boards. If they’re present, measure the width at the narrowest point (often lower down).

4. Compare your measurements to the gate’s minimum and maximum fit range, including extensions.
