If your pet door frame isn’t extending properly or feels stuck, don’t worry—this can usually be fixed in just a few steps.
What’s going on?
Sometimes a bit of dust or debris gets inside the frame extrusion and makes it hard for the parts to slide smoothly.
What to try:
A quick spray of silicone-based lubricant can usually do the trick.
Here’s how:
Give your spray lubricant a good shake.
Spray a small amount into the end of the frame where it feels stuck.
Gently stretch the frame slightly while guiding your foot through the pet door flap to secure it in position.
Wipe away any extra lubricant with a clean cloth so it doesn’t collect dust later on.
Tip: Less is more — just a light spray should be enough!
