Cat Flap - Installation - Can I Install This Into Glass or Screen Doors?

Modified on Wed, 25 Jun at 2:41 PM

No – the Cat Flap is not suitable for installation into glass or thin metal mesh screen doors (such as Crimsafe or Prowler Proof).

The frame is designed to be screwed directly into solid materials like wood or composite doors and walls. It also includes a built-in tunnel section, which isn’t easily trimmed down to sit flush against thinner materials like glass or screen mesh.

For Glass Installations

If you're looking to install a pet door into glass, we recommend using a product designed specifically for that purpose, such as the Hakuna Pets – Ultra Clear Pet Door. Always consult with a professional glazier when planning any glass installation to ensure safety and proper fit.
