1. Use a step-over Riser:
A extension can be installed at the bottom of the pet door as a riser to raise the flap height. This makes it easier for your pet to pass through without needing to crouch or duck. For the V1 Mesh Patio Pet Door, Extension Risers are identical to the Top Metal Extensions - they are simply attached to the door's base.
These are available for purchase through our website's Spare Parts menu for the 2021 Mesh Patio Pet Door.
All V1 Mesh Patio Pet Door Risers are 130mm / 5.12" Tall.
2. Consider the entry height:
If you have a step down on one side of your door, you may need to size up the pet door so that it suits entry from both entry heights. This will ensure that your pet can comfortably enter and exit the patio without any difficulty.
3. Contact customer support:
If you have tried the above solutions and are still experiencing issues with the flap height, please don't hesitate to contact our customer support team. Our knowledgeable representatives will be able to provide further assistance and guidance to ensure that your pet can enjoy the Mesh Patio pet door without any obstacles.
NOTE: If you have a step down on one side of your door you may need size up, so the pet door suits entry from both entry heights.
We hope that these solutions help to address the issue of the flap being too low to the ground for your pet.
