The Microchip Pet Door requires four (4) AA batteries to operate. We recommend using high-quality 2100 mAh lithium batteries. 

How often do you need to replace the batteries?

6 Months - Based on average use below

• Use of High Quality 2100mAh Lithium Batteries
• Dog Uses Door less than 10x a day
• Door Accidentally Triggered 10x a day

Note: If the pet door exceeds the average use described, the battery life will be impacted.

Flat Batteries

Your Microchip Pet Door may not be staying on because the batteries have no charge left. Ensure you have fully charged batteries installed in your pet door.
