Glass Patio - General - How to Differentiate Between V1 & V2 Glass Patio Pet Doors

If the wind-up pressure-jack on your Glass Patio Pet Door appears to be stuck and won't extend, there are a few possible causes. Please check the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Are the Jack Bolts Still Tightened?

Ensure that the bolts on both sides of the jack have been loosened.

  • Yes: Loosen the bolts using the Tube Spanner and then try extending the jack.

  • No: The jack will not extend until the bolts are loosened.

2. Is the Tube Spanner Misshapen or Not Gripping Properly?

Check if the Tube Spanner is securely gripping the jack bolt or if it’s just spinning.

  • Yes: If the spanner is misshapen or ineffective, try using a 6mm socket or a pair of pliers to turn the jack bolt and extend the jack. Also, ensure you're using the small end of the Tube Spanner.
  • No: Proceed to the next check.

3. Is the Jack Misaligned?

Sometimes, one side of the jack may sit slightly higher than the other, preventing even extension.

  • Yes: Try giving the jack a few light taps with your hand or a rubber mallet to realign it and level both sides.

  • No: If everything appears aligned, but the jack still won’t move, contact support.
